Registration.
Sign up as a group with a maximum of 3 vocalists and 6 staff members.
Mixers: 2 Max.
Artists: 2 Max.
Animators: 2 Max.
Staff can join a maximum of two groups. Do so with caution.
Vocalists may only join one group and cannot sing in more than one group.
Don't exceed a group total of 9 members.
You may switch out staff or vocalists anytime during the CB without a pass, but please inform us of any changes beforehand. Warning, only staff and vocalists who participate in all of the rounds (min. 2 rounds) get a prize.
It's not fair if you jumped in on only one round but end up also receiving a prize.
Only one group will win.
IMPORTANT NOTE!!!!!!
Because it's a ranked battle and the nature of how our CB will be done, we’ll be putting up a GROUP CAP. Unfortunately, only the first 24 groups will be allowed to participate.
This will put less strain on both judges and anonymous youtaites if we have the group cap. We’re sorry if this seems unfair to those who usually have difficulty pulling together a group.
How to turn in an entry.
Make sure to title your entries appropriately.
【YGCB-R#】Title Song 【** Group Name**】.
Your description should include:
Interpretation of theme.
Script link.
MP3 and acapella link.
Credits for all who participated in the video along with credits for anything that you did not create from scratch by yourself.
Plagiarism is not tolerated and if you're caught, you will be disqualified.
Song choices and submission.
2:30 minimum and 6:00 maximum.
Can be in any genre, but be aware of copyright.
The song can be in any language as long as you provide a link to the interpretation.
If you choose to do a song in a language that is not in Japanese or English, pay close attention to the youtaite you choose and see if the language chosen is something they can do. You’re allowed to send us a DM about it if unsure.
You must submit your song choice in the first week of each round and then your script by the end of the second week.
A form will be provided each round at the very start. Make sure to do song submission first.
Please be kind and civil. Conduct yourself in an appropriate manner and avoid giving other groups/people disparaging remarks. This kind of behavior is not tolerated and may result in disqualification if things get out of hand.
Try not to overwork/push/maso yourselves too hard. With how much time is given, I highly recommend that you do not slack and procrastinate. People end up masoing anyway, from time to time, but please think about your health.
If it seems that you may not make the deadline, a casual collab is always an option. It's disappointing because you wanted to make it for the CB, but it's better to put it out as a casual collab and produce something of quality rather than rushing it and putting out something you're not proud of.
DO NOT ask us for an extension. Unless 50% of the participants need it, extensions won't be given because people have their own schedules to follow.
YOU MAY, however, turn in your entry a few hours late without a penalty. BUT you must have a valid reason with screenshots/proof.
Screenshot proofs must show that you started rendering AT LEAST 30 minutes to 1 hour ahead of the Deadline. We won't accept screenshots if it's too close to DL.
Once again, please credit everything. If you used a background that isn't yours, art that isn't yours, certain effects etc. You need to credit it in the description. Keep track of what you use to make it easier on yourself.
If you’re caught using traced art, heavily referenced art or render art then that’s an instant disqualification.
A google link or any link that doesn’t link to the original artist/creator does not count towards crediting.
Example: For backgrounds, wallpaper engine sites DON’T COUNT.
Make sure to check that the artist has GIVEN PERMISSION to use the art freely. If their description is in another language then translate it. There has been a small case in a CB where a group didn't check and they accidentally used art that they weren't allowed to use.
